Vallejo Mars Red 1-2mm

The distinctive rust-red of hematite soils and Martian sands, in a medium grain. Vallejo's Mars Red texture at 1–2mm is a ready-to-use acrylic paste for building red, iron-rich rocky ground on bases, terrain boards and dioramas. Spread it on, leave it to dry, then paint, wash and drybrush to match your scheme.

The mid grain is the sweet spot for infantry bases — rugged enough to read as rock, fine enough to stay in scale.
