Once a noble vampire-knight, Lauka Vai fell into a pool of primordial ooze and rose as something monstrous — a bat-fiend, drake and vampire in one. Now leading the bestial Avengorii, she fights an unwinnable war against her own thirst: one moment a warrior queen, the next a howling whirlwind of carnage.
