Sangue Real Sauvignon Blanc 2019

This is the first white wine produced by Sangue Real. The vineyards are located next to the Natural Park of Serra da Arrábida, about 5 km as the crow flies from the Atlantic Ocean with the Arrábida mountains between the vineyard and the ocean, decreasing the strong maritime influence & in turn allowing for optimal maturation conditions. This wine was produced solely with the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety from 4 year old vines, with the grapes being selected and harvested by hand, producing 5 tons per hectare.

The resulting wine has citrine colour, the aroma with pear notes, some pepper and minerality, excellent acidity and long finish in the mouth. Perfectly accompanies grilled fish. Oenology by Ricardo Santos.

This wine received an award within the tasting of "perfect wines for delicious barbecues" category in the magazine Paixão Pelo Vinho, Edition nº 82, page 124. It was awarded a silver medal with a score of 16/20
