Madison Swivel Glider Recliner Nursing Chair – Pebble

A soft pebble shade that sits easily in any nursery, with a gentle glide and room to lean back. The Madison is made for night feeds, slow cuddles and the moments you just want to sit a while longer.

It glides on metal ball bearings, turns all the way round on its base and reclines with a manual Leggett & Platt mechanism, so you can settle in, reach what you need and rest without getting up.

How it moves

• Glide: A smooth back-and-forth glide on metal ball bearings, which Obaby describes as almost silent.
• Swivel: Turns a full 360° on its base.
• Recline: Pull the catch on the side to lean back and raise the footrest; push the footrest down to sit up again.

• Upright: W 75 × D 97 × H 100 cm
• Fully reclined: 160 cm from headrest to footrest
• Seat: 50 cm high, 53 cm wide between the arms, 51 cm deep
• Chair weight: 42 kg

Fully reclined, the chair is 160 cm long, so measure the space in front of where it will sit.

Fabric, frame and care

• Fabric: Pebble upholstery, certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100.
• Comfort: A plush seat with supportive foam cushions and padded arms.
• Frame: Hardwood and composite construction.
• Care: Wipe spills straight away, then clean with a cloth dampened with water or mild soap. Let it dry and brush lightly. No bleach or abrasive cleaners.
• Standard: Conforms to BS EN 12520:2015, as stated in Obaby's instructions.

Assembly and safety

Assembly comes in two stages and should be done by an adult. Obaby's safety notes ask you not to sit on the arms or the edge of the seat, to take care with the mechanism underneath while the chair moves, and never to leave a child on or beside the chair alone.
