AK's synthetic filbert brush combines a flat body with a rounded tip, which is exactly what you want for soft blending, curved surfaces and edges that need feathering rather than a hard line. Size 2 keeps it small enough for detail work on faces, drapery and armour trim, while the rounded profile stops you leaving obvious brush marks the way a flat or round brush can. It holds a decent amount of paint for its size and the synthetic bristles spring back to shape after every stroke.
