Sand Yellow is the warm, mustardy sand of mid-war German dark yellow and North African schemes — a cornerstone tone for WWII armour. AK's high-pigment 3rd Generation acrylic lays it down matt and smooth by brush or airbrush.

Best for

• German dunkelgelb and desert armour base coats
• Warm sandy camo and equipment
• A rich mid base for modulation and weathering

Thin it for airbrush or brush layers, then modulate with buff and darker sand for a lived-in finish. Its matt surface is the ideal ground for filters, washes and chipping.
