AK Interactive 3rd Gen Acrylic RLM 73 (AK11824)

RLM 73 is the second green in the Luftwaffe's maritime splinter scheme — darker than its partner RLM 72, and factory-standard on seaplanes, flying boats and coastal patrol aircraft. Torpedo-bomber variants of the He 111 and Ju 88 wore it too, so it's not purely a flying-boat colour.

Best for

• Upper-surface splinter camouflage on Luftwaffe seaplanes, flying boats and torpedo bombers
• Pairing with RLM 72 for the authentic two-green maritime scheme, over an RLM 65 underside
• Panel-line and pin-wash work where a darker green needs to hold contrast against 72

Two closely related greens in one splinter pattern is a fiddly job to get right by eye — having both shades from the same range keeps the contrast consistent.
