Deep Brown is a rich, dark chocolate brown — a foundational tone for leather, wood, earth and hair, and a superb shading colour across warm palettes. AK's high-pigment 3rd Generation acrylic lays it down matt and smooth by brush or airbrush.

Best for

• Dark leather, wood and earthy detail
• Shadow tone under lighter browns and tans
• Rich brown hair, fur and straps

Use it as a base or a shade, working it into recesses and building lighter browns over the top. Thin it for airbrush work; its matt finish takes washes and pigments cleanly.
