Dead Red is a dark, muted, desaturated red — the dried-blood, faded-flag tone that reads as old and worn rather than fresh and bright. AK's high-pigment 3rd Generation acrylic lays it down matt and smooth by brush or airbrush.

Best for

• Dried blood and gore on grimdark miniatures
• Faded, weathered red fabric and markings
• The shadow tone under brighter reds
