Anthracite Grey is a very dark, cool grey with a coal-like depth — a strong near-black tone for shadows, modern armour and dark detail. AK's high-pigment 3rd Generation acrylic lays it down matt and smooth by brush or airbrush.

Best for

• Very dark grey shadows and recesses
• Modern dark-grey armour and kit
• A softer alternative to black for shading

Use it in the darkest recesses or as a dark base, highlighting up with lighter greys. Thin it for airbrush work; its matt finish takes washes cleanly.
