Abteilung 502 Oil Paint - Orange (AKABT625)

Orange is all about warmth and richness. On its own it's punchy, but its real job is in the mix — dropped into yellows and reds it deepens degradations and cranks up the chromatic richness of a whole palette. It's the tone that stops warm blends looking flat, giving you that subtle glow across rust builds, fire and ember effects, and vibrant figure work.

It's a low-oil, ultra-fine pigment formula with the long working time the whole range is known for, so a little goes a long way — a touch of Orange is often all it takes to make a warm blend sing.

The warm note your palette has been missing. Thin it with white spirit for glazing, and combine it with the wider Abteilung 502 oils for richer reds and yellows.
