Naples Yellow / Light Sand is the pale, warm tone that makes dust and desert believable. It replicates fine sand and grit on models and dioramas convincingly, and worked carefully into panel lines it can lift and illuminate aircraft and vehicle surfaces without looking chalky or overdone.

Used neat it's dust and desert straight out of the tube; mixed down with white or a touch of ochre, it opens up a whole run of warm, sandy tones for scenic work.
