Faded Flesh is a flexible base for figure skin, and a surprisingly useful filter tone besides. Lay it down as a starting point, then layer other flesh tones over the top — the more you mix, the more intense and dramatic the result, and the bigger the figure the more that variety matters. It does quiet work as a subtle filter on vehicles too, taking the edge off a scheme without shouting about it.
Best for
- A base coat for figure skin, built up in layers
- Blending into other Abteilung 502 flesh tones
- Subtle filters on vehicle paintwork
Thin it right and those first layers barely show, letting the flesh tones you add later do the talking — the starting point for skin you build real character into.
A dependable base for layered flesh. Blend it out with a soft filbert brush, and keep a tube of Flesh Shadow to hand for when the transitions need to go darker.
