Grey Brown is a muted, dusty brown-grey — the natural tone for weathered wood, dried mud, stone and worn leather, and a lovely neutral for knocking colours back. A hardworking earth shade from Vallejo's Model Color range.

• Worn leather and drab earth
• Smooth, self-levelling coats with minimal brushstrokes

Drybrush it over darker earth for aged timber and stone, or use it neat for the grey-brown grime that makes terrain believable.

The dusty neutral for weathered surfaces. Pair it with a dark earth base and a pale drybrush.
