Faded Red is a soft, dusty red with the brightness knocked back — exactly the tone for sun-bleached paintwork, weathered banners, old brick and any red that should look like it's spent years in the elements. A brilliantly useful weathering red from Vallejo's Model Color range.

• Weathered paint, brick and faded fabric
• Highlighting deeper reds without going bright
• Smooth, self-levelling coats with minimal brushstrokes

Use it as a faded highlight over a dark red for kit that looks properly weathered, or neat for muted brick and terracotta.
