Vallejo Model Color - Burnt Cadmium Red

Burnt Cadmium Red is a deep, slightly earthy brick red — the sort of muted crimson that reads as painted metal, old leather, faded banners and weathered warpaint far better than a bright pillar-box red ever could. A rich, characterful shade from Vallejo's Model Color range.

Best for

• Weathered reds, leather and rust-adjacent tones
• Shading brighter reds down toward the shadows
• Smooth, self-levelling coats with minimal brushstrokes

Use it as a base under a brighter red for depth, or straight from the pot when you want a red with some age and grit to it.
