Sterling Silver Oval Red Carnelian Cufflinks

Carnelian, a translucent variety of chalcedony, has a warm red-orange glow that has made it a favourite of seal engravers and jewellers for centuries. Each stone carries its own natural variation. Each oval face measures 19mm x 15mm, and the stone is gently domed rather than set flat, which deepens its translucent glow. The stone is inlaid on both the front and back faces, so each link looks finished from either side, and a swivel fitting passes easily through a double cuff.

Each pair is made by hand in a Yorkshire workshop from sterling silver and hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office.
