Lion Passant Guardant Blazer Button Set In Gold

A lion passant guardant, its head turned to face the viewer, appears on every button in this heraldic set. Struck in crisp relief, each button passes through more than a dozen stages before it is finished, a design long associated with Benson & Clegg of Jermyn Street. Made from gilding metal, the traditional alloy for military and blazer buttons, it is finished in gold plate. Large buttons measure 2.0cm and small cuff buttons 1.5cm. Single breasted sets contain three large and eight small buttons; double breasted sets contain six large and eight small. It gives a navy or green blazer a quietly distinguished heraldic character.
